Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Wakefield Thermal Accounting group is a talented and experienced group that is in need of an experienced Accounting Clerk to join its team. This is a diverse role with supporting responsibilities to AP & AR Coordinators along with additionally performing highly routine tasks of an accounting nature such as cash applications in accordance with established procedures and methods under direct supervision. 

DESCRIPTION:

  • Compiles, sorts, and files essential documents in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cost categories.
  • Verifies and posts details of various business transactions relating to Cash Application and A/R Invoices into computer database.
  • Printing, Payables Processing, Scrap Processing.
  • Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions.
  • Applies customer payments to accounts.
  • Prepares a variety of daily management reports.
  • Assists Accounting Department personnel as needed.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of his/her own work area and the general housekeeping of the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting plus 2 years of accounting experience or any other equivalent education or experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, high proficiency in excel.
  • Exposure to ERP program, oracle based (Microsoft Dynamics) – highly desirable.
  • Accurate alphanumeric data entry skill sets.
  • Willingness to partner with teammates and work independently.
  • Strong organization skill sets.
