Job Description

National Strand Products is a leading manufacturer of high carbon galvanized steel strand supporting the utility and telecommunication markets. 

The Coiling Operator will be responsible for working safely in a fast-paced environment, be quality conscious, and adhere accurately to production schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities      

The daily duties of a Coiling Operator, will consist of, but may not be limited to:

  • Following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Meeting shift output goals to ensure consistent supply of product to the Shipping Department.
  • Setting-up and running product correctly based on information given on production cards.
  • Operating coiling machines safely and visually observing while in operation.
  • Using overhead cranes and/or forklifts to move product in a safe manner.
  • Generating correct identification tags and attaching to finished product.
  • Inspecting product for quality.
  • Ensuring work area is maintained clean and safety standards are followed.
  • Accurately reporting production data as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for long periods.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate control environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100lbs.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US.
  • Available to work overtime and Saturdays, when needed.
  • Prior experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment desired.
