Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Specialist


The EHS&S Specialist is responsible for assisting the EHS&S Manager in ensuring conformance with EHS&S departmental standards, company policies, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.


The EHS&S Specialist will work in conjunction with the Kinedyne Management Team, EHS Committee, and others to help foster and maintain efforts towards continuous improvement. The EHS&S Specialist will work with management to ensure that EHS&S and facility standards are aligned with relevant business unit EHS&S goals, conform to corporate policies/procedures, and comply with applicable regulations.

The EHS Specialist will perform or coordinate the following activities.
• Manage applications within Gensuite (the company’s EHS&S management system software) and provide reporting as needed to maintain the EHS&S Department’s Annual Plan.
• Develop and maintain an electronic EHS&S filing system.
• Ensure that Kinedyne is prepared to submit all relevant environmental, health, and safety documentation as required.
• Monitor and update programs that require annual review such as SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout / Tagout.
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas involving environmental and safety laws and regulations.
• Periodically inspect facility buildings and grounds, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards to ensure environmental and safety regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure that policies and procedures are aligned and maintained.
• Other duties may be assigned in the interest of developing the EHS&S function and achieving the priorities of Kinedyne.


The EHS Specialist will work in warehouse and office environments and in all climate conditions which vary from hot and humid to cold, based on seasonal changes. The individual will occasionally be exposed to noise, dirt, fumes, chemicals, and other physical hazards.

Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
In lieu of a degree in a safety-related field, equivalent education and experience may be considered.


At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment in an EHS capacity. Four or more years preferred.
