Job Description

Position Summary:

 This candidate will be responsible for Embedded Software Engineering and working in multi-disciplined engineering team of mechanical, actuation, and electronic engineering.

 Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Extensive experience in software embedded integrated system with emphasis on brushless DC motor control (PWM)
  • Develop state machine and man machine interface
  • Experience with electronic hardware and interaction with software
  • Experience with high voltage and low voltage electronics
  • Experience in developing system architecture, system specification, flowchart, test plan and test report documenting the lifecycle of the software development.
  • Experience with failure analysis, validation and verification in compliance with DO178
  • Able to create Windows applications for Desktop PC in Visual C++
  • Develop codes for production tooling (ATP) using National Instruments LabVIEW.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors or Master degree in electrical engineering/software engineering, is required.

Experience/Requirements:

  • 5 + of experience in embedded software development environment sing C/C++ and assembly languages.
  • Working knowledge of PWM Motor Control technics and algorithms of Brushless DC motors
  • A firm understanding and experience with ANSI-C and real-time system algorithm development is required.
  • Experience in control theory and implementation of PID current and speed regulators.
  • Working understanding of serial communication protocols and implementation of CAN bus, SPI, RS232, I2C
  • Experience programing of embedded peripherals - ADC, sensors, switches
  • Experience with at least one embedded OS
  • Read and understand electrical schematic, block diagrams and wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of Power factor correction and harmonic distortion algorithms and technics methodology to reduce their magnitude
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Aerospace background and knowledge of DO245, is an advantage
