The Position

This position is a member of the Finance Department reporting to the Accounting Manager.  The Financial Analyst will both lead and assist with fundamental accounting as well as business improvement tasks while enabling cross functional support for and enabling communication/coordination amongst the Finance, Sales, Operations and Engineering Departments. 

Job Description           

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Accounts Receivable
    • Invoice Customer shipments via Capital and Parts processes
    • Post Customer payments received
    • Process credit card transactions
    • Maintain Customer Master files
    • Make collection calls ensuring timely payments
  • General Accounting and Financial Reporting
    • Prepares standard and non-standard journal entries for income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and other accounting reports
    • Prepare monthly Account Reconciliations for assigned GL accounts
    • Research and/or review unusual entries and/or entries that do not balance
    • Development of new and maintenance of existing financial reporting to drive the organization’s goals and objectives forward, including but not limited to:
  • Product Line Analyses, including Unit and Price reporting
  • Cost analysis, including Unit Cost Breakdown
      • Orders and Backlog
    • Development of new tools and processes to support both business-wide and business segment Budgets and periodic reporting against Budgets
  • Operational Report Writing
    • Development and maintenance of new operational reporting to drive the organization’s goals and objectives forward, including but not limited to:
      • Shop Floor Utilization
      • Machine shop efficiency
      • Engineering time reporting
      • PSI (Purchasing, Selling & Inventory) reporting and analysis, including sell-out data and historical trends
  • Leverage Microsoft SharePoint and the Microsoft Power Stack (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to achieve both Financial and Operational Reporting goals

Job Requirements     


  • Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting; OR associate degree with more than 5 years of applied experience

  • Core competencies to include Financial Modeling and Financial Statement Analysis

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Stack (Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint) or desire to learn
