Due to a recent promotion within the organization, our department is looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The HR Coordinator is responsible for administering and coordinating human resources processes and assignments in one or more HR functional areas. The HR Coordinator will provide support to the HR team, applying knowledge of company policies and department functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries or requests by corresponding and offering direction internally and externally.
  • Communicate the company’s benefit programs and initiatives by assisting employees with enrollment, questions, and general inquiries.
  • Support the maintenance of human resource records including, but not limited to: Personnel Files, I-9, Leave of Absence, Substance Screening, and Employment Verifications.
  • Maintain and audit reports, spreadsheets, files, and databases for a variety of HR functional needs.
  • Oversee day-to-day requests from employees, managers, executives and internal HR team.
  • Develop expanded knowledge and expertise throughout HR specialty areas.
  • Plan and execute the coordination of department meetings and employee events to promote employee satisfaction.
  • Support implementation of a variety of projects by coordinating and timely executing delegated tasks. 
  • May assist with recruitment functions including sourcing, candidate logistics, offer letters, and coordinating with appropriate leaders.
  • Perform special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A bachelor's degree and/or has equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in an HR role performing similar job responsibilities.

  • Capable of staying organized while managing multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate issues and updates to various stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrates ability to build understanding and rapport with individuals.
  • Strong willingness to ask questions, learn and grow one’s career.
  • Prior experience with HRIS systems (preferred, but not required) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
