Wakefield Thermal is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and well-versed IT Specialist to support its southern NH based locations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in providing Information Technology related support in a dynamic, multi-layered manufacturing organization.   • Manage and monitor all installed computer systems, server, printers, label makers, storage, network and telephony infrastructure on premise and cloud based.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain network operating systems, application software, system management tools and systems integrations.
  • User environment management, including desktops/laptops, profile management, software delivery, etc.
  • Respond to the needs and questions of IT users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
  • Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level IT user support.
  • Provide report creation and management.
  • Vendor management.
  • Create and/or update documentation concerning IT systems and IT procedures.
  • Champion IT standards, procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Develop and communicate standards of use, operations and security of network, personal computers, and data.
  • Liaise and partner with corporate IT group and other Wakefield Thermal representatives to ensure proper execution of IT related projects, initiatives and training.


  • Degree in Information Technology (IT) or comparable degree
  • 8+ years operational experience in IT Infrastructure (network, server, DB, storage administration)
  • Solid working knowledge in
    • Microsoft products (Microsoft certified preferred)
      • Microsoft server operating systems 2019
      • Dynamics AX, (ERP program)
      • Active Directory
      • SQL
      • Enterprise Office 365
      • Exchange
      • OneDrive
      • SharePoint
      • Teams
      • Azure
    • Networking: switching and routing, layer 2 VLANS, layer 3 routing, TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN
      (Cisco and/ or HP certified preferred)
    • Firewall (SonicWall preferred)
    • Hyper-V and VMware virtualization
    • Veeam Software
    • Microsoft Teams phone system
    • Mobile Device Management
  • Strong knowledge of information security threats, vulnerability management, and countermeasures and associated operational best practices.
  • IT security certification preferred.
  • Service oriented approach in IT (ITIL certified is an advantage)
  • Customer orientation (e.g. short response times, appropriate communication and continuous information flow, adequate solutions)
  • Good analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Drive for excellence in own work and cooperation with customers/ colleagues/ employees
  • Efficient and resilient working style (e.g. priority setting, willingness to work overtime in peaks, absorb pressure)
