  • Oversight of plant operations in accordance with Company policies
  • Oversight & Responsible for procurement
    • Monitor and maintain an effective vendor / supplier base
    • Establish Long Term agreement with key vendors and suppliers
    • Implement practices to increase efficiency and on time delivery
    • Work with suppliers to address corrective actions relating to on time delivery and product quality controls
  • Oversight & Responsible for entire operation including production, (in-process), shipping and receiving, staffing, quality and safety
    • Manage onsite and remote machine shop with over 100 employees and 40 CNC machines
  • Manage assembly production line
  • Oversight & Responsible for operation of an FAA145 repair station
  • Oversight of maintenance of building, grounds, equipment and maintenance plans
  • Ensure plant personnel understand objectives and standards
  • Promote effective communication between Operations, Program Management, Business Development, and Engineering
  • Manage the financial performance of the operations function
    • Direct the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls to guarantee financial operating integrity
    • Manage capital expenditure plans in support of program objectives and continuous improvement
    • Manage and maintain standard cost system and provide input for costing of new programs
  • Perform reviews and analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Monitor and maintain company’s compliance with AS9100 standards (familiarity with AS9100 production standards a must)
  • Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives in process and program execution; foster a dynamic culture of change
  • Responsible for schedules of manufacturing Team (labor)
  • Responsible for warehouse plans (purchasing/inventory)
  • Prepares annual operating and capital expenditures.
  • Ensure adherence to Company policies
  • Leads plant compliance with OSHA, EPA, and corporate EHS policies
  • Establishes and maintains an incident free work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for closing the production activities in support of monthly P&L

The Successful Applicant

  • BS degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, required
  • At least 10-15 years of Manufacturing Engineering Management experience in the aerospace production environment. Airbus, Boeing and Aerospace experience is a Plus
  • Strong familiarity with AS9100C standards for the production environment
  • Good communication skills and customer service experience
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mature judgment, strong interpersonal skills required for interacting with peers and executive management and contractors
  • Ability to build and lead interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Committed to Continuous Improvement
  • Must be able to provide excellent leadership to meet the demands of supervision, production demands, customer requests, planning and controlling all aspects of plant operations, major equipment breakdowns, employee engagement and customer demands during production surges.

Certification Requirements:   CPIM preferred
