The Position

The Operations Engineer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, network, and cloud-based systems. This individual will work closely with senior infrastructure administrators to maintain the company's IT infrastructure and ensure that it operates efficiently and securely.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient systems and data communications network.
• Assist in deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring all active servers, data storage, and network equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Assist in fully supporting, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading corporate and OT networks, on-premises servers, cloud instances, and SaaS (Security as a Service) system.
• Assist in installing and integrating new server hardware, applications, cloud instances, and SaaS.
• Ensure all devices and systems (network, servers, cloud, etc.) are up-to-date and adhere to company security guidelines and standards.
• Provide support in administering third-party applications.
• Monitor system (network, servers, cloud, SaaS, etc.) performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Assist in resolving problems reported by technical support.
• Contribute to defining network and system policies and procedures and their automation.
• Specify system requirements and design solutions with senior administrators' guidance.
• Learn and improve the operation, administration, and management of the systems (network, servers, cloud, and SaaS) he/she manages.
• Assist in designing and maintaining data centers and on-premises equipment.

Job Requirements

Education           

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

Skills & Relevant Work Experience

• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.

Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• This is an entry-level position, and the successful candidate will receive guidance and training from senior administrators.
