Job Description

  • Work from shipping orders to determine part numbers, colors, and quantities to be packed for shipping.Select parts from stock and pull from warehouse. Move material using hand dolly and bring to packing area. Check part against blueprint to be sure picked parts are correct.Count out parts using scale; select appropriate cartons and place parts and packing slip inside box.Pack box with additional filler to prevent shifting and damage, close carton and seal with gummed tape.Enter packaging data into MAPICS. Affix labels for shipping. Keep workstation clean and orderly

  • Stage parts after wheelabrated, load parts into oven and record totals on log sheets. Operate oven to bake parts. Remove parts from oven and cool. Weigh count parts, pack, use computer to generate labels, and include packing date. Stack on pallet and move to staging area. Move palleted boxes to the warehouse for proper curing. Coordinate inventory entries with Lead Finishing Material Handler.

  • Duties includes all of the above plus: coordinate bagging operations for customers.Operate heat sealed bagging machine.Select counter setting for proper bagging counts, of various weights approximately 10 ounces to 1 lb.Gather sealed bags and pack in boxes, seal boxes with tape, affix labels and prepare for shipping.Stage items to be shipped by location. Enter counts for overstock into MAPICS, re-label, box and restock items to the correct location daily

  • Use forklift to pull and place boxes and pallets in warehouse locations

  • Perform additional duties as assigned. Assist in other areas as needed
  • Fluency in English
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills able to read, write, add and subtract whole numbers
  • Basic PC skills for data entry
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lb
  • Requires excellent mobility and use of proper lifting techniques to avoid injury
  • Legible penmanship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills
  • Must be able to pass forklift certification(Level II)
