Salary Range $70,000 -$100,000 annual salary

The Position 


Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to improve safety, increase output quality, reduce cost, increase efficiency, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within the production process


Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data
  • Present results and findings and make recommendations for improvement
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Provide suggestions during incident investigations
  • Advise on corrective action
  • Research and advise on new manufacturing technology
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering or related field of study.
  • Ability to apply statistical process control.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Have working knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; and CAD or AutoCad.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must be able to pass preemployment background, drug/alcohol, and physical screenings
  • Must be able to work independently, as a team, and be able to work with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to think strategically and problem solve
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States of America


Physical Requirements


  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for physical inspection, hand and eye coordination, depth perception
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit occasional to frequent.
  • Must be able to work in a dusty environment around metals
  • Hearing – must be able to hear others and warning sounds of forklift and other heavy machinery
  • Speech – must be able to communicate effectively with others while working
  • Smell – must be able to smell various chemicals and gasses
  • Must be able to squat, stoop, twist, climb, crawl, reach, grasp, and fine manipulation, and bend occasional to frequent
