Production Scheduler in Niles, MI at National Standard

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Attend production meetings to assure plant production scheduling requirements are full understood and that production planning requirements are staffed.
• Publish production schedules by identifying products, equipment, sequence, completion dates, etc.
• Monitor production by analyzing reports and compare progress to schedule.
• Resolve scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information and coordinating solutions.
• Schedule product through various processing lines
• Inventory management of corresponding production lines 
• Monitor back order log to ensure on-time delivery.
• Interface with sales, plant supervision, maintenance and purchasing on a regular basis.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual bust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

• Three to five years related experience in manufacturing industry and Associates degree in related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be detailed oriented and can work independently to gather information as required to complete a task.
• Microsoft Office Software – Outlook, Word, Excel, Dynamics AX.

• Required extensively: sitting at a computer, use of near visual acuity. 
• Regularly required:  walk throughout the factory to gather information.
• Occasionally required: walk outside the factory to gather information.
