Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Leads, organizes, documents, and attends/participates in project meetings and assists with determination of product and project requirements.
  • Coordinates large cross-functional new product development projects and accountable for delivering a quality product on time and at the cost target.
  •  Ensures that product development projects and changes to existing products are conducted in compliance with appropriate regulations and internal procedures.
  •  Leads validation testing plan and assists the team in developing validation test methods and protocols based on defined requirements and provides clear concise test reports.
  •  Assist in the development of test methods for product requirement specifications.
  •  Oversee the effort of team in designing and coordinate the fabrication of tooling, assembly lines and test fixtures required for protocol execution.
  •  Oversee the effort of conducting make vs buy calculations and execute strategy accordingly.
  •  Act as point of contact for Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations Management for prototype builds, supply chain design, production pilot and preparation for mass production.
  •  Coordinate internal resources for various departments and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  •  Support project planning: Create Project Charters, Project Plans and define roles & responsibilities of stakeholders in each project.
  •  Provide hands-on project management -- managing project timeline and scope to ensure project deliverables stay on-time, on-target and on-budget.
  •  Identify Risks, Issues, and dependencies and determine mitigation strategy.
  •  Ensure project goals and objectives are achieved within project timeframes & budget.
  •  Maintain a project schedule and status dashboard. Effectively communicate any risk & issues that could impact timeline, scope or budget to the appropriate project team member.
  •  Effectively Manage change control processes and quality assurance aspects of the project
  •  Work closely with purchasing department and 3rd party vendors where appropriate to ensure negotiation of costs, review of contracts and to ensure delivery in accordance with business requirements in a timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Position Consults with:  This position will work with Engineering, Senior Management, Operations, Purchasing and Accounting personnel. 

Years of Experience & Qualifications Required:  

  • 5+ Years in Project Management
  • Proven success in leading various business and technical projects
  • Experience working with Senior Management
  • Developing and Tracking Budgets
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Project Management Tools.
