Job Description

Position

This position will be responsible for monitoring and improving upon the quality and inventory practices and processes.

Specific responsibilities include:

Overall responsibilities:

•       Partner with engineering and assembly to deliver best in class, quality products to Stenograph’s customers.

•       Responsible for shipping product to customers, receiving in various items from our vendors and customers, posting various transactions in the ERP system, and the functions related to Service Administration.

Assembly/Manufacturing Quality:

•       Collaborate with Operations to ensure the quality of all assembled units.

•       Partner with Engineering to resolve manufacturing pre-shipment and OOB issues.

•       Enter and post various inventory and production workorders in ERP.

•       Enter and post miscellaneous item journals and warehouse transfers.

Incoming Parts Quality:

•       Inspect incoming raw parts to ensure they are within specifications

•       Maintain records of inspections

•       Initiate SCARs, follow up and maintain records associated with out of spec parts.

•       Maintain records for Vendor Score Cards

•       Maintain records for serialized parts.

Shipping/Receiving

•       Print the picking tickets thru ERP and pulling Finished Goods from warehouse location to package for shipment.

•       Assures customers’ orders (external & internal) conform to the accompanying shipping documents.

•       Process the order thru ERP and affix the proper label to the package and/or prepare documentation for truck shipments.

•       Monitor the hand off packages to the Federal Express Air and Ground Representatives and bring US Postal packages to the front office for collection.

•       Process miscellaneous orders when necessary.

•       Perform processes relative to the receipt of inventory and customer’s returns.

•       Perform processes relative to incoming receipts and customer returns in the ERP system.

•       Check inventory against packing slips for completeness and accuracy.

•       Oversee that inventory is in their designated locations.

•       Perform processes relative to receiving customer’s writer for service thru the Service module in the ERP system.

•       Perform processes relative to receiving trade-in writers from customers in the ERP system.

•       Perform processes relative to using the ERP system and working with Customer Service, to track loaners held by customers to ensure their timely return to Stenograph.

Inventory:

•       Enter and post various inventory and production workorders in ERP.

•       Enter and post miscellaneous item journals and warehouse transfers.

Qualifications

A successful inventory/quality control coordinator will have experience in inventory control, assembly, warehousing and quality fields.  The idea candidate will have excellent time-management skills and knowledge in organizational techniques.  

The Quality/Inventory Coordinator will have the following experience and attributes:

•       A minimum of a high school diploma and 5 years experience in inventory control and/or quality control.

•       Experience should include knowledge of best inventory and inspection practices.

•       Demonstrated ability to read prints/drawings and identify critical control points as well as how to measure upon inspection.

•       An team player, with strong oral and written skills.
