C/A Designs, an industry leader in the manufacturer of complex aluminum dip and vacuum brazed assemblies, is seeking a talented, driven and accomplished Quality Assurance Manager to join its successful and accomplished team. This is a critical, high visibility role tasked with safeguarding product quality while meeting company and regulatory standards and has responsibility for a continuous quality improvement program that includes quality control and assurance while meeting or exceeding all quality standards set forth by our valued customer base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive compliance in all aspects of AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Participate in risk management activities.
  • Drive efforts to achieve and improve customer satisfaction.  
  • Work in conjunction with Purchasing to qualify new vendors, solve vendor quality concerns and continuously improve/build Company/vendor relationships. 
  • Review existing process and product specification to identify the need for improvement or upgrade.
  • Partner with other leadership team members to drive Continuous Improvement efforts in product quality/performance and process optimization.
  • Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to quality and reliability.
  • Supervise technicians, inspectors, Quality Engineers and other company staff to ensure they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures.
  • Provide leadership and coaching, while overseeing and driving the education and training of Quality Department employees.
  • Supply key metrics and reporting data when requested by Plant leadership.
  • Form trustworthy and effective relationships with internal and external customers to ensure awareness and alignment of customer goals and the company's mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or BA in Management, Administration or Engineering.
  • 5-10 years management/supervisory experience in a dynamic, results driven and customer focused organization preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, AS9100 Quality Management System, and NADCAP accreditation preferred.
  • ITAR, and NIST experience.
  • Metrology and GD&T.
  • Excellent MS Office skill sets with the capabilities of creating complex reports and the ability to present in front of peers and executives.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities; a manager who has the capabilities to mentor and nurture personnel while driving and producing top notch results from team members.
