The Position

This position is a member of the RPG Department.  The RPG Team Leader will report directly to the Director of Global Sales, until further notice, and is responsible for leading established initiatives and goals for the Replacement Parts Group Department.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Promote the sale of replacement products, Support Services, and work to achieve annual parts including aftermarket and strategic sales and objectives. Build and collaborate with RPG Team to create, review and analyze metrics that will achieve target sales growth and success.  Help to answer customer inquiries using available information and resources.
  • Promote the sale of Bartell products and services to our customers to ensure continuous profitable growth.
  • Ensure current up-to-date spare parts lists are produced and maintained for each item of capital equipment.
  • Help to organize promotional campaigns and customer visit programs for replacement parts and support services.
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Engineering regarding changes to standard/base products.
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Technical Support and Service regarding customer projects and promotional campaigns.
  • Help to maintain up-to-date pricing and delivery information.
  • May visit customers to promote parts sales.
  • Organize and operate 24-hour customer support operations.
  • Ensure adequately trained resources exist to operate 24-hour customer support function.
  • Assist customers directly and indirectly in the resolution of their equipment technical problems on a 24-hour 7-days per week basis.
  • Establish customer satisfaction assessments/surveys
  • Coordinate protocol to drive efficiency and team collaboration for the Replacement Products Group (RPG)
    • Ensure replacement parts, TSS and capital orders are entered expediently and correctly.
    • Ensure polite, professional and efficient Customer Service telephone coverage is provided at all times.
    • Ensure that RPG personnel are provided with relevant training to execute their duties.
    • Provide metrics reports and analysis of RPG sales.
    • Ensure that RPG sales meet or exceed desired profit margins
  • Work with other departments to achieve 95% on –time delivery.
    • Develop “team” relationship with manufacturing engineering, production control, and machine shop to streamline and facilitate delivery process
  • Liaise with Bartell UK and Bartell Qingdao
    • Maintain consistent pricing to customers.
    • Assist with training for order entry, costing and delivery estimates for BML and Qingdao
  • Be a functional expert in D365
    • Be the leader in entering orders and quotes in D365
    • Make sure that RPG is meeting and/or exceeding their booking goals each month

Job Requirements    


  • High School Degree or equivalent with 10 plus years of manufacturing sales experience
  • Associates Degree with 4-5 years of job-related manufacturing sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years of job-related manufacturing sales experience

Skills & Relevant Work Experience

  • Service management knowledge in a machinery manufacturing setting.
  • Supervisory and/or Team Lead experience
  • Experience in capital equipment sales and/or technical service knowledge
  • Verifiable experience in Customer Service
  • D365 expertise ( preferred)
  • Business Intelligence experience

Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
