Job Description

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties and working closely with multiple stakeholder groups in supporting the business unit. This position supports the daily operations and operational areas including employee relations, benefits, consulting, and serves as a main point of contact to select business units.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a main point of contact for employees, managers, and leadership to support and execute CSG’s strategic vision.
  • Support the design, implementation and administration of the performance management programs.
  • Oversees and administers leave of absences in coordination with a third-party administrator to ensure compliance of FMLA, ADA, and other state and federal regulations.
  • Advise managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits.
  • Serve as a partner both to employees and leadership regarding employee benefits initiatives.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of HR Departmental operations by researching new opportunities, identifying technological advancements, helping lead change, and serving as a lead on special projects.
  • Conduct and resolve employee relations issues, with support, by efficiently maintaining objective and thorough investigations.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the assigned business units to provide business-focused recommendations to leadership.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and create metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop strategic initiatives for employee engagement and retention.
  • May design and conduct high-level training and development courses on HR content for business units.
  • Perform compensation reviews, job analyses/evaluations, and create/edit job descriptions.
  • Counsel managers to address behavioral and performance related challenges, including documenting necessary disciplinary action.
  • Perform special projects and completes other duties as assigned for the general support of the organization.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A bachelor's degree and/or has equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • Minimum of four years’ work experience in an HR role performing similar job responsibilities.

  • Capable of staying organized while managing multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate issues and updates to various stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrates strong consultative skills used to build understanding and relationships with client groups.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in HRIS systems and in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP professional designations, preferred.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
