This position is responsible for performing tasks involved in the shipping of materials, supplies and equipment. Will be dedicated to delivery of products within the region using a company vehicle as needed. Participates in problem solving activities and contributes to quality improvements. Actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development. This is a key role in our warehouse that requires a go-getter who can change direction with minimal notice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packages and ships company products to specific guidelines and customer requirements.
- Visually check package for damage prior to opening and receipt; awareness factor for potential content damage, document (photos, etc.), notify quality and purchasing.
- Basic visual inspection of part for obvious damage; nicks, dents, etc.
- Review certification(s) for compliance; verify contents match requirement for cert per PO, validate values reported are in compliance.
- Verify traceability, matching serial numbers on pack slip to physical parts.
- Review paint supplier checklists (where applicable) for compliance; are all requirements met, boxes ‘checked’, reconciliation with rest of paperwork and parts.
- Scan all receiving documentation to create electronic record; verify that all information has been scanned and is legible.
- Utilizes E2 Shoptech (ERP system) to correctly transact shipments and receiving.
- Provides accurate and detailed information through communication channels to support customer inquiries as they relate to shipments.
- Correctly places identifying information on containers, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against travelers or other records.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Using the company vehicle, deliver parts safely and in a professional manner as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).
- Familiarity/ability to read and understand Quality documentation, basic understanding of documentation.
- Good visual acuity and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow a Receiving Inspection Plan (RI).
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- 5 years of relative shipping experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment required.
- Ability to provide a safe driving record and history.
- Strong computer knowledge, with accuracy to detail a must.
- Work with minimum supervision and ability to pivot as needed.
