The Position
The electrical engineer will be responsible for end to end designing and delivery of connected
electromechanical products with embedded Linux software. This position will act in a lead capacity for
designing and developing of electricals and electronics, PCB Design, analysis, testing and manufacturing
process of our next generation connected electro-mechanical devices. This position will support product
development through collaboration with product, mechanical engineering, software engineering and
testing teams.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
• PCB Design, layout, and routing of digital, analog, RF signal and balancing power dynamics of printed
circuit boards (PCB) with KiCad
• Layout and routing of active passive electronic components, mounting, RF integration etc.
• Build and maintain component database of schematic symbols and component land patterns
according to industrial standards with KiCad
• Create PCB design packages (Gerber files, fabrication & assembly drawings, etc.)
• Interface with PCBA contract manufactures, battery vendors, and regulatory (EMC/FCC) test houses
• Familiarity with variety of interfaces including but not limited to I2C, SPI, QSPI (Flash), UART, SDIO,
SD via SPI, USB Host, USB Client, SAI (audio), LVDS, JTAG, WiFi/BT module, USB PD • Model and
simulate data rate signals, power distribution and RF signaling on PCBs
• Measurements, simulation correlations and continuous refinement
• Power/signal integrity simulation and analysis
• New PCB bring up activities and system performance validation
• Test Planning, Testing and analysis to assure compliance
• Create statements-of-work and technical and performance specifications
• Collaborate inhouse and with vendors to assure timely and compliant design, development, testing
and delivery
• Create DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) guidelines
• System Analyses, Design, development of C/C++ based embedded software, and its integration, and
performance & stability tuning.
• Assess and use third party proprietary and open-source software
• Develop and integrate low level device drivers within an embedded Linux environment as well as
small microcontrollers
• Create Linux device trees for custom hardware, configure and recompile kernels, apply patches, and
tweak drivers
• Strong familiarity with Linux, uboot, bash scripting, networking, and interfacing with various sub�systems
• Interface with mechanical hardware design and development
• Mitigate silicon supply chain issues with alternative parts research, custom complex rework, and
hand-on requalification
• Maintain current product line by investigating hardware issues & software bugs, finding root causes,
and implementing mitigations
• Identify, document, and balance design risks
• Ability to set goals, manage individual / team performance, organize people and activities to achieve
goals
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and strong collaboration skills with product centric
approach
• Work closely with product management and marketing teams to ideate and lock down product
features based on cost and value

Job Requirements
• BS degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related fields; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
• Professional engineering (PE) license helpful
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in performing highlighted key responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
• Team leadership experience with proven ability to communicate with key customer and internal
stakeholders
