Job Description


  • Assists in analyzing productivity and quality trends, developing plans and procedures to improve performance.
  • Authorizes necessary adjustments to set-ups during course of operations to maintain accurate production.
  • Responsible for caustic and nitridation processes to be completed according to established schedules.
  • Oversee die maintenance and die repair operations.
  • Responsible for ordering new and replacement dies, which includes direct contact with various die vendors through phone and email communications.
  • Coordinate with production, run of samples of all new dies, as they are entered into the production process, maintain updated die information in manufacturing software.
  • Responsible for coordinating the training of new employees.
  • Responsible for keeping the Plant Manager informed of activities and/or problems and maintaining effective communication between shifts.
  • Works with production scheduling to maintain an adequate work for material flow. Support production through die changes performed within established time frames, clean, polish and die correction activities.
  • Sets work schedule and determines overtime requirements for work force.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of his/her own work area and the general housekeeping of the Company.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in aluminum extrusion die repair.
  • Possess good written/oral communications skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner. Able to deal effectively with broad range of personalities.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and EPICS a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem analysis and problem-solving skills.


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel and control objects or tools. The employee is regularly required to stand and occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move 75 pounds.

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals.   The noise level is usually very loud.
