Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and manages training events across the United States from home base in Kansas City, MO.
  • Works with hotels, food providers, conference space providers to reserve, coordinate, and evaluate locations for training events.
  • Negotiates with vendors and suppliers for local and national contracts to ensure effective use of budget.
  • Communicates using multiple methods, with trainees assisting with lodging and ground transportation.
  • Assists training team in all phases of event delivery at a local training center, including event set-up, trainee accommodations, ground transportation, meal coordination, and clean-up.
  • Translates written documents, most technical in nature, on short deadlines.
  • Capable of looking for and designing efficiencies into processes and procedures to make service deliveries useful for our trainees, more manageable for the team, and a value add for our clients.
  • Works with Video Production Team to provide Spanish voice over to training videos.
  • Maintains the inventory of training materials, equipment, supplies, and collaterals, including management of logistics of shipping the same.
  • Assists in the drafting, creation, and generation of department forms, reports, metrics, and documents for the department and others.
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide training calendar and ensure completion records are processed and analyzed.
  • Acts as support to Safety Coordinator in narrowly defined functions.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An Associate degree (Bachelors Preferred) or its equivalent plus 3-years experience in Business Event Coordination, educational support, or L\u0026amp;D support is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will regularly include early mornings and late evenings during local events. Able to travel overnight 4-6 times per year.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs. of material and up to 50 lbs, with assistance 20% of the time.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and utilizing a variety of business software systems.
  • Proficiency with the Spanish language (speaking, reading and writing) preferred.
