Staff Accountant - Kansas City, MO

Construction Solutions Group consists of nine companies serving the commercial and industrial construction markets throughout the United States and Canada. Each company operates separately and has its own unique specialty in the construction industry. Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation and posting of monthly journal entries and performing relevant account reconciliations.
• Assist in the accumulation and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.
• Process accounts payable transactions, including validating vendors, verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.
• Receives, reconciles, and verifies expense reports and pcard transactions.
• Periodic reporting, analysis and reconciliation of 401K and HSA.
• Perform special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1-2 years of relevant experience supporting similar responsibilities.
• Strong analytical problem solver with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.
• Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook). Advanced level of Excel required.
• D365 experience is a plus.
