Lead Site Safety Specialist - Beaumont / Port Arthur, TX
Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Beaumont / Port Arthur, TX area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for Lead Site Safety Specialist. We are seeking qualified candidates that are focused on project success and exceeding customer expectations. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all of the company’s safety procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Site Safety Specialists provide safety support services for specific projects by monitoring the project’s compliance with company, state, and federal safety standards. Working in an advisory role with project management, the Lead Site Safety Specialist provides the knowledge and skills to help generate a positive health and safety culture and to ensure that occupational risk is properly controlled. Instructs and educates field employees.
REQUIREMENTS
- Site Safety Inspections - Conducts periodic on-site safety inspections, analyzing work practices to determine safe methods of performing work.
- Case Management - Knowledge in Loss Control, Accident Investigation and Medical Case Management acquired through prior work history or documented on the job training.
- Orientation - Coordinates and conducts new employee orientation as well as the completion of the customer’s site orientation.
- Communication - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing. Must be comfortable speaking in front of crowds or in meetings with site management and customer representatives.
- Hazard Recognition - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Compliance - Familiarity with construction safety work rules contained in Supervisor Safety Manuals as well as OSHA Part 1910 and 1926 regulations.
- Leadership - Must be capable of managing a small team of Field Safety Specialists or work on a project alone.
- Current Basic First Aid / CPR certification
- Clear graded background check
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
- Preference given to candidates with 10 years professional experience in safety and risk management programs or occupational safety and health, preferably in a construction industry and meets or exceeds performance expectations.
- Preference will also be given to candidates with knowledge of marine and land piling operations.
