Company Overview:
Insight Vision is a growing manufacturing company with a team of twenty employees. The company specializes in producing high-quality sewer camera and inspection systems. Its goal is to continually improve operational efficiency, deliver exceptional products, and maintain a positive work environment. Insight Vision is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead our team toward achieving company goals.

Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, assembly, shipping, and inventory management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment. This individual will manage the scheduling of production, direct assembly activities, supervise shipping processes, and maintain inventory levels, all while meeting production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Scheduling and Planning:
  • Develop and manage the production schedule to meet customer demand and company objectives.
  • Ensure efficient use of labor and equipment by adjusting schedules based on available resources and production priorities.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans to minimize downtime and avoid production delays.
  • Assembly Supervision:
    • Oversee assembly processes to ensure correct assembly of products, on time, and to company quality standards.
    • Coordinate with assembly team members to resolve any operational or technical issues.
    • Train and mentor employees on assembly techniques and product specifications.
  • Shipping and Logistics:
    • Supervise the packing, labeling, and shipment of finished goods to customers.
    • Ensure that shipping schedules are adhered to and manage timely delivery of products.
    • Coordinate with logistics providers and ensure shipping materials are on hand and available.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
    • Ensure that inventory levels are adequate for production needs, and track usage to avoid overstocking or shortages.
    • Assist with periodic inventory audits and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
    • Ensure products meet quality standards by implementing inspections and enforcing quality control procedures.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with team members to implement solutions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues that impact quality or efficiency.
  • Employee Supervision and Development:
    • Supervise a team of ten production and assembly workers, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and following company procedures.
    • Provide regular performance feedback and facilitate training sessions to enhance skills.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on productivity and safety.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
    • Ensure all employees are trained on safety protocols and equipment usage.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and promptly address any identified hazards.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, or related field is a plus).
    • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Strong understanding of production scheduling, assembly operations, and inventory management.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing software or ERP systems (preferred).
    • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
    • Comfortable working in a factory environment with moderate noise levels.
