Lead QC Inspector

The Lead Quality Inspector is responsible for directing and providing guidance in the work of all Quality Inspectors. This is a critical role within the Quality team and actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development. This is a key role in the Quality Control Lab that requires a go-getter who can change direction with minimal notice. This individual will be expected to embrace and exhibit our culture of honesty, integrity, and good corporate citizenship. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
- Train team members within the department in general and equipment specific Quality procedures.
- Constantly looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure that departmental work is performed in a safe manner according to company safety standards.
- Mechanical inspection of CNC machined and brazed components.
- Operate CMM for in-process and final inspections. Experience is a plus, but training will be provided as needed.
- Completes final inspection.
- Visual Inspection of finished components and assemblies.
- Practical understanding and application of GD&T.
- Completion of inspection documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).
- Previous machine shop quality experience a plus.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems.
