Electrical Engineer 1

The Position (Summary):
The Electrical Engineer 1 will serve as the key liaison between the engineering department and the remainder of the business, as well as the department lead technician and the subject matter expert over engineering change management (ECM) system and the department enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The successful candidate will provide effective interfacing between the machine design team and the systems that drive business.
Minimum Essential Requirements:
- Engineering liaison with shop floor, purchasing, and sales department

- Part number creation and maintenance
- Facilitate / prioritize engineering change request
- As build drawing updates
- Drawing and part number look-up
- Develop BOM structures for aftermarket orders
- Other sundry administrative functions
- Basic ERP system data entry and maintenance including part creation and Bill of Materials (BOM) import
- Engineering drawing, bill of material, and part maintenance
- Fulfill request for machine documentation packages (manuals, BOMs, drawings) for use by internal and external customers
- Document and maintenance of department procedures and processes
- Perform cross-training on basic duties
- Maintain BOM as required
- Commission and support the product configurator
- Develop and support issues database and knowledge base
Preferred Key Requirements:
- Communication with internal customers and vendors regarding the system documentation packages
- Strong aptitude in engineering drawing interpretation, including, assembly drawing and BOM navigation
- Industrial technology aptitude sufficient to check, maintain, and/or produce commercial part specifications used for procurement purposes (power distribution, sensor, switches, wiring/interconnection components)
- Experience operating Computer Automated Design (CAD) software- preferably AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred)
Experience and Education:
- Experience: 0-3 years’ experience in an engineering department, preferably in industrial capital equipment
- Education: Minimum of an Associates Degree in a technical field, or commensurate experience plus demonstrated ability
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication
Technology:
- Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- ERP (Microsoft D365 preferred) and Business Intelligence desired
- Novice to intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
- Position will require daily utilization of Microsoft Teams, D365, and Microsoft Office Suite
