Summary:
The Deburr Associate will follow, take guidance, and instruction from the Deburr Lead. This position is responsible for deburring and cleaning of aluminum CNC parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Know and follow all departmental policies and SOP's.
- Attention to detail is needed, preforming visual checks for defects on parts.
- Display good attendance and work ethic.
- Work diligently on the company’s top priorities - safety, quality, and productivity.
- Constantly looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency.
- The ability to run abrasive equipment.
- Perform other duties as required such as supporting other production areas.
- Ensure that departmental work is performed in a safe manner according to company safety standards.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience & Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of the company’s products, equipment, and safety protocol.
- Familiarity with using non-electric hand tools preferred
- Team player, positive attitude, good communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent mental and visual attention where the flow is intermittent with intermittent checking. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate.
The employee is required to wear safety glasses, earplugs and safety shoes.
