Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Electrical) - Houston, TX

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

An Assistant Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and administering assigned projects. Reports to the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or VP of Operations.

• Review owner contracts and ensure compliance.
• Assist in developing master project schedules.
• Assist/Manage project costs relative to budget.
• Participate in project planning meetings.
• Identify risks that may impact cost, schedule, or client satisfaction.
• Assist PM in issuing RFI’s.
• Assist PM in estimating Change orders as needed.
• Participate in and document punch list process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Four-year Construction/Engineering Degree or equivalent commercial electrical trade experience
• Minimum of three years' experience in construction, design, finance, and management
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office programs, Accubid, Excel, Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and quality control
