CMM Programmer, Aerospace & Defense Industry!

The CMM Programmer is responsible for performing inspections and supporting data analysis.  Effectively documents and communicates results in a timely fashion to maintain uninterrupted movement within the Manufacturing process. Individual shall also work closely with Quality Assurance, CNC Programmers, Design Engineering, MFG Production & Braze/Special Process to ensure that all inspections are thoroughly completed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strives towards a culture of proactive safety.
  • Create CMM programs with PC-DMIS software (From Solidworks models, drawings & applicable documents)
  • Create Absolute Arm programs
  • Document measurements required for First Article Inspections / AS9102
  • Updating & Managing Microsoft Excel databases
  • Mechanical, Visual & Final Inspections
  • Recommend new metrology based technologies towards improving our overall capabilities
  • Complete quality related and continuous improvement project work
  • Participate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions / implement preventative actions
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Level 1, 2 and/or 3 PC-DMIS Certification - Preferred
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning amd Tolerancing (GDT)
  • Interpret Technical Drawing and Specifications towards Programming
  • Spacial Awareness of basic machining practices & CMM Setups
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Controls / AS9103
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing - Preferred
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
