Senior Project Manager

Position Summary: As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of marine and civil construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of project delivery are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, work closely with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, and apply your technical expertise to solve complex project challenges.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage all phases of civil and marine construction projects, from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient project execution and meeting project milestones.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. Build strong relationships and ensure their needs and expectations are met.
• Supervise and mentor project teams, including engineers, field staff, and subcontractors. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that contingency plans are in place to address potential issues.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company quality standards and industry regulations. Oversee and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Monitor project costs and ensure that expenditures remain within the approved budget. Provide regular reports to senior management regarding project status.
• Review and manage contracts, change orders, and invoices, ensuring compliance with legal and financial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and construction codes and regulations.
• Identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner, ensuring the project stays on track.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil and marine construction, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or senior project management role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale marine and civil construction projects, including dredging, marine structures, bridges, ports, and waterfront development.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, especially within the marine environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera, etc.).
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and schedules.
• Knowledge of safety standards and environmental compliance in construction.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar is a plus.
