Industrial Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

Are you an experienced maintenance technician who can diagnose problems, keep equipment running, and take ownership of uptime?

At Zalk Josephs Fabricators, maintenance is a critical function—not a support role. Our technicians are responsible for keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime across the plant. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment with minimal supervision
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Work across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and uphold safety standards

Equipment You’ll Work With:

• 14 overhead cranes (5-ton to 40-ton capacity)
• 3 Travel Lifts (30-ton capacity)
• CNC Plasma systems and robotic plasma systems
• Robotic welders and manual welding stations
• Multi-axis drill lines and punch lines
• Roller conveyors and steel shot blasting equipment
• Air compressor and facility systems
• Mobile equipment (forklifts, spotter trucks, trailers)

Required Qualifications:

• One (1+) year or more of maintenance experience

• Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Comfortable working at heights and a physically active environment
• Ability to work independently and prioritize equipment issues effectively
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math (including tape measure use)
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MIG/stick welding, torch cutting, brazing, and soldering
• Experience in structural steel, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing
• Familiarity with CNC, robotics, or automated production equipment
• Experience maintaining cranes or large material handling systems
• Experience operating scissor lifts
• Experience working in 3-phase 480v electrical panels
