Procurement Analyst
The Company
The Heavy Equipment Group is a group of privately owned companies (ARDCO, BARKO, & Pettibone Traverse Lift, that provide rugged, special duty, mobile heavy equipment (tractors, loaders, material handlers, off-road transporters, mobile drilling rigs, etc.) for a variety of applications in the forestry, rail, recycling & scrap handling, construction, biomass, and oil & gas industries, both domestically and internationally. The group’s brands are all well-established (approximately 50 years in business in most cases) and have achieved considerable success in the target industries, both domestically and abroad.

The Position
The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for executing procurement activities within assigned categories, supporting the Category Managers in achieving cost savings and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The Procurement Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs and contribute to the overall success of the centralized procurement initiative.
Key Performance Areas
- Execute procurement activities within assigned categories, including the creation and management of purchase orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, resolving any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
- Conduct market research and gather data to support category strategies and supplier negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, and finance, to understand requirements and ensure procurement needs are met.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, including on-time delivery, order accuracy, and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Category Managers in identifying opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
Job Requirements
Experience and Education:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, forecasting, or supply chain management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management business administration or related field preferred.
- ERP: Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Supervisory Responsibility - This position has no Supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or as business needs determine.
Travel – This position requires travel, including travel outside the local area and overnight.
