The Finisher role will be responsible for finish operations on aluminum chassis and cold plates. This is a critical role within the assembly team and requires a detailed mind set. This role reports to the Sr. Manufacturing Manager.
Primary Job Functions
- Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
- Perform prep grind work using pneumatic grinders and DA sanders on aluminum chassis including removal of tack welds and excess braze in preparation for CNC machining operations.
- Perform final finish operation using pneumatic tooling to produce consistent finish on aluminum chassis and cold plates.
- Follow Job Travelers for specific routing steps to be performed. Logging activity in ERP system for time and piece count tracking requirements.
- Maintain traceability of parts and work orders as parts move through finishing
- Cleans work areas, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe work area as required.
- Support establishing standard work for the deburring process
Desired Experience and Attributes
- Autobody finishing experience is a plus
- Must have experience with finishing aluminum using pneumatic tooling (i.e. Dynabrade).
- Works well with others.
