SUMMARY:
Supervises all production activities and resources according to established quality and production performance standards. Strives to run an organized shop, minimizing cost and lead-time to assemble orders on time for our customers. Actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development. This supervisor is expected to embody and demonstrate our core values of honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate citizenship.
DESCRIPTION:

- Builds culture of integrity and openness. Exemplifies the highest standard of conduct and ethical behavior
- Supervise personnel from deburr through final shipment. This includes assembly cells, deburr cells, finishing cells, and shipping and receiving personnel
- Owns all aspects of UKG time management for direct reports
- Determines manpower requirements, resolves scheduling and capacity issues.
- Sets work schedule and requests overtime to meet OTD commitments
- Take direction from Plant Manager on 5S projects, quality improvements and other production group projects as needed.
- Ensures product quality meets the required standards
- Collaborate with other supervisors and leaders to optimize productivity and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, identifying and resolving issues that could result in production delays
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Other tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager or other business senior leaders
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
- Possess advanced written/oral communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical acumen to include MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics; a proven ability to leverage technology to the advantage of the business
- Great people skills with the ability to lead a team with professionalism, enthusiasm and empathy
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel and control objects or tools. The employee is regularly required to stand and occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
PPE required by location and job. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals.
