Our customers rely on us to deliver the complex parts they create. “Protecting the Warfighter” is our mission. C/A Design boasts two manufacturing sites in Exeter, NH and Raleigh, NC. Our new state of the art 120k sf production facility located in the beautiful seacoast town of Exeter will raise the bar in high precision machining. We are seeking a high-energy & experienced person with exceptional business development skills that can deliver results. SUMMARY:
C/A Design is seeking a Business Development Manager to embrace and deliver our Total Thermal Solutions value proposition through a commitment to our valued aerospace and defense customer base. This role demands a dynamic, outgoing and industry-connected individual with technical prowess. Additionally, they should possess a competitive spirit and an unrelenting drive towards securing sales opportunities & serving our customer base. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Execute the commercial strategic sales strategy by securing new customers, including but not limited to prospect targeting, engagement, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and post-closing participation in ongoing business development and optimization activities.
- Coordinate with the inside Sales organization and be responsible for nurturing the existing customer base by partnering with operations to improve communication, responsiveness and ensure both on time delivery standards and 100% customer satisfaction are met.
- Leads and nurtures collaboration between operations team and external stakeholders for smooth transitions between key accounts and alignment of overall sales strategy.
- Actively participates in continuous innovation and enhancement of C/A product offerings based on customer feedback, industry insights, and advancements in thermal management and manufacturing technologies.
- Utilize thermal sales engagement steps via education and training to inform the C/A customer base on thermal management and design for manufacturability while highlighting our value proposition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as marketing, product management, engineering, operations leadership, and finance to support customer needs and plan go-to-market strategies.
- Liaise with marketing leadership to target and influence C/A Design’s existing and new customers through multi-media formats (white papers, technical writings, social media).
- Leverage Salesforce CRM and utilize data to make informed strategic and tactical decisions.
- Attend conference and trade show events; additional travel required throughout the year to leadership team meetings and customer site visits. (10-20%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, material science, or similar engineering or scientific field.
- 5+ years work experience in a similar role (progressive sales, business development, applications or design engineering) within the aerospace and defense market or disciplined manufacturing environment.
- Possess acute understanding of sales cycle & decision-making process.
- Has top notch relationship building skillsets to leverage key account stakeholders.
- A client-driven mindset and unwavering dedication to deliver results.
- Outstanding business acumen and interpersonal management skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Exceptional technical skill sets to include MS Office and CRM systems.
- SolidWorks skills to include part/assembly modeling and drawing creation a plus.
