Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs activities in Accounts Payable adhering to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with multi-state use tax requirements.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation and payment of union dues and fringes.
  • Maintains payroll information by gathering, calculating, and entering data.
  • Prepare and verify all payroll withholding requirements including employee benefits and garnishments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring accuracy with all payroll transactions and ensuring tight deadline constraints are met.
  • Interacts with all internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field, or a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical problem solver with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and relevant accounting software experience.
  • Strong data entry experience (10-key).
