The Position

The Accounting Manager will oversee all general accounting activities of the department and will be responsible for applying Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP). The position will also be responsible for budgeting, as well as maintaining and developing internal account controls/processes. The position reports directly to the VP, Finance and plays an instrumental role on the finance Team.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage Financial Statement close process

  • ERP Accounting system set-up and control

  • Account reconciliations

  • Manage annual budgeting model and related processes

  • Assist with New ERP Implementation

  • Manage MEA Capital Expenditure approval process and subsequent tracking

  • Trade compliance monitoring

  • Intercompany accounting

  • External Audit/Tax support

  • CAT/Use Tax filings

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting required

  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills Experience

  • 3-5 years hands on accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; audit experience a plus

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes including general ledger, cost accounting, financial closure, forecasting, budgeting and reporting

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Managerial skills and abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Software; working knowledge of manufacturing systems

  • Attention to detail; data collection, financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities

  • Strong organization skills; ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast pace environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and work additional hours as needed

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, occasionally stand and walk. May be needed to work more than 8 hours per day.
