The Position

The Aftermarket Sales Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of the companys aftermarket sales to customers. The successful candidate will be an experienced technical sales professional with a track record in proactive customer interaction and achieving sustained revenue and earnings growth. The position will direct and control the operation of the Aftermarket Department and will interface closely with all other departments to ensure an effective customer service 24/7/365. Domestic and some international travel in excess of 20 of worked time per annum will be required to succeed in the role. The position will also include an element of capital equipment sales responsibility on a geographical or customer by customer basis, estimated to be in the region of 20 of the role.

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Proactively promote the sale of replacement parts and support services, and achieve annual parts and service sales objectives

  • Responsible for all aspects of the sale of the companys technical services to customers

  • Organize and operate 24-hour customer support facility

  • Direct and control operation of the Steelastic Aftermarket Sales Team

  • Work with other departments to achieve minimum 95 on-time delivery

  • Facilitate implementation of new technology to enhance customers supply chain

  • Capital Sales - Responsible for new equipment sales to specific geographical area(s) and / or specific customers

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Specific Training, Knowledge, Skills Required:

  • Technical knowledge of low volume, high value capital equipment preferably within the tire and rubber industry

  • Service management knowledge in a machinery manufacturing setting

  • Experience in capital equipment sales and/or technical service

  • Experience in preparation of marketing literature and use of digital and web based media for marketing purposes


  • 5+ Years Supervisory experience

  • 5+ Years Customer service experience

  • New equipment sales experience

  • Ability and willingness to travel

    • Domestic and International

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with a major in engineering or business preferred

Physical Demands

Extensive domestic and international travel which include visits, frequently in excess of 1 week globally. May be needed to work more than 8 hours per day
