The Position

The Benefits and HRIS Specialist will join our driven Corporate Team to partner with businesses across the globe. This highly visible role will help examine and improve current HR practices, while investigating future methods to process data and solve issues using modern technology. The individual in this role will function as a system, policy, and process point-of-contact for both management and employees. The Benefits & HRIS Specialist will need to be skilled at interpreting and explaining company benefit programs, while also remaining responsible for auditing and maintaining HRIS system data integrity.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responds to all general HRIS support requests, updating the system on a timely basis and elevating issues to ensure prompt closure
  • Ensures people movements (new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations and employment/life event data changes) are accurately executed within the HRIS system
  • Uses business intelligence software to create reports for audit and provides support to all operating companies
  • Monitors key HR performance indicators, such as Tenure, Turnover, and Retention using business analytics tools (such as Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos, etc.)
  • Responsible for processing vendor invoices with attention to detail, auditing as needed
  • Creates and promotes the monthly benefits wellness newsletter and distributes across all companies
  • Provides excellent customer service in response to employee questions, providing ongoing support to all HR Managers
  • Remains knowledgeable of all Heico benefits programs (such as healthcare plans, time-off policies, leaves of absence, short-term and long-term disability leave, life insurance, and 401(k) plan)
  • Establishes and maintains credibility with all employees, by following up and responding to questions, concerns and problems quickly, accurately, and professionally
  • In partnership with HR team members, ensures that initiatives, policies, and procedures are implemented in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Certification in Human Resources preferred

Skills & Relevant Work Experience:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing or professional services environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service orientation and effective organization and communication skills
  • Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understands the importance of and demonstrates a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • HRIS experience required, Ultimate Software “UltiPro” experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Willingness to travel an estimated 15-20%
