Job Description

We are looking for a candidate that can plan, program and set up CNC machines in our finishing department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files.



  • Program CNC machinery by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers and offsets, adjusting fixtures, compensation and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry, approving part programs.



  • Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects.



  • Setup CNC machinery by installing fixturing tooling, and adjusting jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads, reaming and tapping devices.



  • Run Sample and first run parts.



  • Troubleshoot Process problems.



  • Train backup personnel.



  • Perform minor maintenance on CNC Machinery.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent




Skills Relevant Work Experience

  • Mastery of G code



  • Knowledge of Fanuc programming code



  • Conceptual Skills



  • Process Improvement skills



  • Functional and technical skills



  • Tooling Experience



  • CNC machining experience (Level I 2- 5 years) (Level II 5 15 years) (Level III 15+ years)



  • Knowledge of CAMWORKS



  • Ability to read and correctly interpret prints or drawings



  • Excellent verbal communication



  • Safety conscious



  • Attention to detail
