Job Description

Heico Construction Group, LLC is owned by The Heico Companies, LLC. Heico organizes and manages its portfolio companies through four reporting groups: Ancra Group, Construction Group, Metal Processing Group and Pettibone Group. Each reporting Group is overseen by an executive management team that provides strategic guidance and support services to each of its companies. This structure allows every portfolio company to operate independently while also having dedicated resources available to help it achieve its goals.
Heico Construction Group LLC consists of seven construction companies serving the commercial and industrial construction markets throughout the United States, Canada and Brazil. Our headquarters is in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Position
The Contracts Manager will play a valuable role in the assessment of risk and insurance requirements in the various contractual documents signed by our group companies. The position will assist in the review, modification and negotiation of contracts with our customers and vendors. This position reports to the Director of Contract Administration.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepares, reviews and evaluates contracts for compliance.
  • Review legal documents and suggest modifications designed to bring document language into compliance with company policy.
  • Edits or amends various types of contracts
  • Acts as liaison between the company and customer contracting offices.
  • Ensure proper execution, transmittal, maintenance and archival of all legal documents
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the group companies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A degree in Lawwith a minimum of five years of previous experience supporting similar primary responsibilities.
  • Experience with contract language and legal issues
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Willing to travel 10% +/-
  • Contract experiences in construction industry a plus.
  • Experience with insurance compliance and underwriting procedures, a plus.
