Job Description

SUMMARY:
Under moderate supervision, performs telephone customer service and sales functions. Takes incoming orders, coordinates availability/delivery of product to the customer, and troubleshoots problems. Services current customers and solicits new business via telephone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Speak with customers by phone/email communication concerning orders, returns, shipments and products.
Quoting, pricing, and invoicing.
Receive orders and go through contract review.
Order entry of parts, dies, profiles and tolerances associated with customer purchase orders.
Attention to detail critical essential function.
Contact customers when necessary to advise of shipment delays and/or information necessary to process orders.
Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
Keep management informed of all activity.
Requires the use of some judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures, methods or practices involving the making of minor decisions.
Responsible for cleanliness of his/her own work area and the general housekeeping of the Company.
Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or work equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years in sales or customer service role.
Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
Ability to sense and relate observations to business opportunity.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and operational software, MRP systems.
Experience with EPICS a plus.
Proficient arithmetic skills a must.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit. The employee will use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to noise and aluminum particles. The noise level is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. The employee is required to wear safety glasses when in the plant.
