Davis Wire, Kent is a manufacturing mill located off 80th Ave S in Kent, WA specializing in a producing a wide range of wire products. We have a 24-hour operation with maintenance department working 12 hour shifts with alternating 4 and 3 day work weeks, different shift opportunities available. This facility is part of Teamsters Local Union and membership in the union is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours plus.nbsp; Must benbsp;able to climb, stoop, bend, crawl, twist and turn. Must be able to work on ladders and scaffolds. Must be able to lift up to 50+ pounds on occasion.

Principal Accountabilities/Duties:

  1. Designs and Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.nbsp; Connect power, test and start up new equipment.

  2. Connects/disconnects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects/disconnects cables and wires between machines and equipment.

  3. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, control boards, and repairs/replaces damaged or broken components

  4. Tests malfunctioning machinery and see if the problem is electrical in nature.

  5. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and positions sensing devices.

  6. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.

  7. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.

  8. Investigates and diagnoses faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment and makes repairs in conjunction with mechanics, operators and supervision makes repairs.

  9. Must be able to read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.

  10. Take/monitor and document observations, settings, readings, meters, gauges as required

  11. Installs circuit breakers, equipment panels, transformers, and switchboards.

  12. Secure and complete required department work order documentation.

  13. Is responsible for housekeeping in his/her work area and general surroundings.

  14. Is responsible for Lock-Out-Tag-Out.

  15. Observes and follows all safety rules and safety procedures.

  16. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.


Employment Requirements:nbsp;nbsp;

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), Drive, and up to 480v experience.nbsp; No license required.nbsp;
