Stenograph LLC has an outstanding opportunity for a Financial Analysis based in our Elmhurst, Il location.

The Position

As a member of the Accounting and Finance team, the Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to Stenographs finance team and assist with fundamental financial tasks and communication/coordination amongst departments and functions in the company

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepares selected portions of Monthly Financial Statements

  • Reconciles Balance Sheet accounts to assure management that financial information is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Utilizing reporting systems and technology to compare monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial information to budgeted and prior year results. Identifies and analyzes significant variances.

  • Using historical and projected operating information, prepares detailed operating budget.

  • Assist Accounting team in the ongoing strategic and budget planning process.

  • Participates in Internal and External Financial Audits

  • Maintains the companys fixed asset database. Timely records all items per corporate capitalization policy. Ensures depreciation is recorded correctly for monthly internal reporting and annual tax reporting

  • Assist with timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations, monthly financials, and standard reporting packages.

  • Assist with testing and oversight of the control self-assessment (CSA) database for the company. Ensure a strong internal control environment.

  • Assist with Cost Accounting efforts including standard costing, process timings, inventory control, cost component review, warranty and failure rates, etc.

  • Support the VP of Finance on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to Controller and Management based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.

  • The individual will have the following experience and attributes:

  • A minimum of a BS in Accounting or Finance; an CPA/CMA would be a plus.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience

  • An effective communicator, with solid oral and written skills.

  • Solid analytical skills

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems,

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience in Office365, PowerBI, MS Navision/D365 is a plus

  • Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.

  • Highly motivated and ability to work in a dynamic team environment

  • Potential for long hours
