Job Description

The Position:

The HR Talent Specialist will join our driven Corporate Team to partner with businesses across the globe. This role will act as an efficient partner with HR and other business leaders to assist with talent acquisition and management. The individual with this role will become intimately familiar with Heico’s talent structure and workforce needs and provide input on talent direction. The HR Talent Specialist will need to monitor Heico’s compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, as well as regulations from other agencies, to keep the organization up-to-date.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting with managers, understanding workforce needs to achieve goals, and creating job descriptions
  • Assists talent acquisition efforts for all positions (exempt and nonexempt positions, interns and temporary employees); posts open requisitions internally and externally, utilizes company recruiting tools, conducts phone screenings, interviews and completes reference calls
  • Drafts new hire letters for approval and compiles new hire records
  • Facilitates employee onboarding; including post offer verification, testing and scheduling
  • Experience coordinating an internship program and able to represent the organization at on-campus events
  • Consolidates and files annual EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports
  • Coordinates and assigns training, including Affirmative Action
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
  • Provides guidance to managers and employees to help them navigate employee relations issues and conducts both stay and exit interviews
  • Provides excellent customer service in response to employee questions and specific requests
  • Establishes and maintains credibility with all employees, by following up and responding to questions, concerns and problems quickly, accurately and professionally
  • Monitors key HR performance indicators such as Time to Fill, Cost to Fill and Turnover
  • In partnership with HR team members, ensures that initiatives, policies, and procedures are implemented in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Certification in Human Resources a plus

Skills & Relevant Work Experience:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing or professional services environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service orientation and effective organization and communication skills
  • Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understands the importance of, and demonstrates, a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • HRIS experience required, Ultimate Software preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Willingness to travel an estimated 20-30%
