Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for working with engineers, sales, and the manufacturing team in all phases of the design, development, and manufacturing to support development of robust manufacturing processes for new and modified products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Works under general instruction and standard procedures to create manufacturing plans

  • Evaluate customer and internal documents and develop manufacturing plans to fulfill all requirements within the framework of the MRP and Quality Management systems

  • Create new part numbers and BOMs to ensure all materials are available to manufacture new product orders

  • Develop and document manufacturing routings for new and modified products

  • Evaluate and troubleshoot product cost issues for new and existing products

  • Provides support and manages engineering projects as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.


Work Environment:

Office, Plant, Warehouse, or Remote locations: Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to noise and aluminum particles. The noise level is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. The employee is required to wear safety glasses when in the plant. Conditions in remote locations vary, depending on the job requirements.

Job Requirements


  • Actively pursuing a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and still address every minute detail in each project

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Solidworks a plus

  • Strong math, technical writing, and communication skills are required.

  • Read and interpret product drawings and specifications

  • An interest in learning manufacturing methods and processes

  • Ability to work independently or within a team
