Job Description

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility. The I.C. Clerk will also monitor inventory levels and product movement. Responsible for overseeing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations, and contributing to a safe and orderly warehouse and working environment


Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
Maintaining product identification and location program.
Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.
Research and report inventory discrepancies, and making necessary corrections.
Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed.
Responsible for overseeing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
Tracking, and reporting non-conforming product.
Resolving inventory problems in a timely manner.
Documenting and controlling aged damaged product.
Ensuring all labeling requirements are met in a timely manner.
Maintaining Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management.
Coordinate and Integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function.
Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis.

Maintain a professional manner in appearance and communications at all times.
Participate in staff meetings if required.
PC/tablet skills to perform any e-mailing, reports, label preparation, order release, driver sign-out, inventory checks and/or any type of PC/tablet function necessary for that specific area.

Safety, Housekeeping, Security:
Safety glasses, seat belts, and other appropriate PPE must be worn while in warehouses.
Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

Responsibility and Authority:
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
Identify and record any issues relating to product, processes and/or quality.
Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels.
Verify the implementation of solutions

Job Requirements

This is a full time position that may require after-hours or weekend work.
Work overtime beyond 40 hours/week dependent on varying Business needs.
Stand and walk on a concrete surface for extended periods (approx. 3 hours/each) throughout a standard 8-hour work shift.
Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. loads from floor level to chest level.
