Financial Analyst - Beaumont, TX
The Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and operational performance. This role provides comprehensive financial variance analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting support, and ad hoc financial analysis across business units. The Financial Analyst partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate financial results, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Perform financial analysis to support business planning and strategic initiatives
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for leadership
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast and provide insights
- Build and maintain financial models to support scenario planning and investment decisions
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
- Support cross-functional teams with financial data and analysis
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and financial regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and variance analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas)
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a corporate finance environment
- Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes
- CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is a plus
- Experience in the construction industry
