Processor/Production (Monday-Friday day shift!)
Essential Functions:
Ø Maintain plating tanks, which includes but is not limited to checking cells for box size and square ness, cleaning copper, inspecting anodes, and checking solution temperature.
Ø Maintain good housekeeping standards
Ø Uses safe working practices during the loading and unloading of trucks, cleaning station, EDT machine, and plating tanks.
Ø Installs proper fitting collars, bussing work, and shackles as needed
Ø Cleans and protects all areas of rolls that do not need plated
Ø Replaces worn or damaged equipment and notifies Plant Supervisor for disposition.
Ø Cleans and washes rolls prior to and following the chroming process.
Ø Performs daily clean-up duties according to clean up and inspection procedures.
Ø Cleans and identifies roll for customers by painting roll ends to customer specifications
Ø Cleans rolls using proper pre-cleaning and post-cleaning procedures, keeps area free of debris, wipes controls clean, and maintains good housekeeping at all times.
Ø Textures rolls using developed texturing techniques developed to achieve specific RA and Peak range requirements for the size of the roll being textured.
Ø Observes and recognizes machine faults and mechanical problems with the equipment. Recognizes problems with prescribed programs and makes appropriate adjustments as needed.
Ø Responsible for all aspects of plating process, which includes but is not limited to the following…
o Check roll surface as required by customers both before and after plate
o Inspect rolls for defects, notify customer when necessary
o Plating of rolls, both manually and computer controlled
o Preparing rolls for shipment, as required by customer
o Final inspection and approval of work.
o Logging rolls into computer system
o Completing shipping papers for all work rolls processed.
