Position

The position of Transcription Operations Associate is responsible for providing support across general and legal transcription workflows, with a focus on training, quality review, and other tasks relating to ensuring transcripts are delivered to customers within accuracy and turnaround time requirements. This role also contributes to the creation of workflow materials and finalizing legal transcripts for delivery. This position requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of legal transcription standards, and the ability to work within both the TranscribeMe platform and MAXScribe software. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment. The Transcription Operations Associate will report to the Business Operations Manager. 

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews transcription files for special projects, general transcription, and legal transcription workflows to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assists with training and scaling efforts for all transcription workflows.
  • Contribute to transcription formatting requirements on an as-needed basis
  • Complete the final stage of transcript preparation by generating and editing indexes and inserting cover and end pages according to customer-specific formatting and delivery requirements.
  • Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy, consistency, and formatting compliance within the TranscribeMe platform and/or MAXScribe.
  • Provide feedback to TranscribeMe transcriptionists and answer worker questions on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure jurisdictional and customer-specific guidelines are followed in each transcript.
  • Communicate with internal teams if clarifications or corrections are needed to meet quality standards
  • Other administrative duties assigned by management on an as-needed basis to help with transcription production.

      Requirements:

      • Demonstrated experience or training in legal transcription, with the ability to quickly learn and apply jurisdiction-specific rules.
      • Proficiency in working with transcription tools such as MAXScribe and web-based platforms.
      • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
      • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

      Qualifications 

      • The preferred candidate will have at least 1-3 years of related experience
      • High school or other educational equivalent
      • Native level fluency with American English
      • Demonstrated success in delivering accurate transcription
      • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities simultaneously
      • Strong attention to detail and writing abilities
      • Experience in developing and administering assessments and/or training materials
      • Reliable access to high-speed internet
      • Remote only position
      • Starting wage is $10.00, experience will be considered for this position.
